Yeah, I got a dose of Century's quality years ago when I bought one of their Yugo AK's.

I see that there is now a complete line of the ACE Galils. What a shame we will never get a chance to own any of these rifles.

Have you seen the Ace 31? It shoots 7.62mmx39mm from an eight inch barrel, which I think is pretty cool.

It looks so good! I hear the Guatemalan Police bought three thousand of them, along with eight thousand 9mm Jerichos. Anyone hear word of it being imported or any company hear making them? I would love

This was reported in Defense News - an online newservice on Mar. 26, 2014 - 01:09PM and written By JOSÉ HIGUERA

"SANTIAGO — The Chilean Army has selected the Galil ACE from Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) in 5.56mm caliber as its new standard assault rifle, military sources told Defense News during the FIDAE international aerospace show."

"Meanwhile, in 2010, FAMAE launched production of an initial series of the SIG Sauer 556 under license to meet an initial order from the Army.

But the performance of the weapon was not satisfactory, especially in Chile’s northern desert of Atacama, and the search was renewed for a new weapon leading to the selection of IWI’s Galil ACE."

"According to the sources, the Israeli-designed rifle will be assembled in Chile by FAMAE, including a number of locally manufactured parts."

Also, Vietnam will be producing the ACE for their own forces.

The Chile version might be the ACE NATO which uses AR magazines & has a AR style magazine release. I'm sure the Vietnamese version will be 7.62 x 39.

Still waiting to see if the line comes to the US.
