Anyone else on here with a Springfield prouduct?

I guess I have the honor of posting in this board first. I have a XD40 tactical in my small collection. No mods yet.

Hi Fl-Cobra,

I too own a XD40, but mine is the 4" Service model. I bought it when there was an extreme shortage of .45 ACP ammo late last year because I could still get .40 S&W. I also thought it would be a better conceal weapon to use when I got somewhere my FL CCW permit would let me carry since it's somewhat lighter than the 941.

I don't really plan on moding this gun but have used it to shoot Steel sometimes. It's accurate enough, but I need to spend more time on the range with it. That snappy recoil really takes some getting used to. I think it's more difficult than my full size 941 in .45.

I wanted a service XD but we can't buy anything with under a 4.2" barrel up here. I want a XDM which has a 4.5" barrel but we can't have any mags over ten rounds

I live in Eastern Canada. The laws up here are really restrictive and the government goes out of their way to make it difficult to get your permits and the price of everything is 25%+ higher to buy.

It's restrictive here too. We're hoping that the case before the Supreme Court and a new Governor cause some neeed relief in th egun laws here.

Some of them are so poorly written that no one can explain them. A one gun a month law was instituted in JAN, but as far as I can tell, nobody knows who is supposed to keep track of who is buying what. So some stopped dealing at all until things are either clear or repealed.

Wow. I really hope that doesn't turn into a situation where they just say "well, we can't keep track of this so no one gets to buy any guns." Sneaky bureaucrats.

Well.. I don't have a Springfield yet. But I hope to be able to find an EMP .40. A TRP wouldn't break my heart, either.

G'Day Fella's,

I have a HS 2000 Tactical model in 9x19mm Luger, see an image of it below!
I'm not sure if you blokes know this but the Croatian company HS make the XD pistols for Springfield Armory!!!

There a great pistol and I have been shooting IPSC with my HS (and my Kimber 1911, in .38 Super), for a number of years now.

Doh!
