Magnum Research 1911 - Anyone?

Two other interesting Israeli 1911's on GunBroker are a real option to the MR 1911.

I'm bidding on the BUL M5 Commander but his reserve may get my "accountant" bent out of shape.

The other sold last night after the seller removed 1000 rounds of IMI 45ACP from the auction. I would be scared to have purchased this without more evidence it was a true IAI KSA and not a Norinco clone.

I am surprised that the M5000 went for $800. I paid half that a few years back. Both those pistols are very nice. The Bul is the better of the 2.
Good luck with the auction.

boscoman what do you think is a good price on the Bul if it is indeed in "as new, unfired" condition?

I am no expert, but, when these were available they would go for $700 to $900 depending
on the model. They are usually considered competition ready out of the box. I like poly pistols & would rate the quality of these with Kimber. I was told by one of the original reps here in the states for Bul that they actually supplied parts to Kimber & helped get the company started. Bottom line is if I had the $$ to burn I would be real interested in this pistol. As much as I prefer full frame pistols, for a 45 it is a great size for a carry weapon. Plus I am partial to Israeli weapons in general.
