CZ 75 P-01 WOW

CZ 75 P-01 WOW

It looks like I will slowly be converting over to the original CZ 75. I just sold my Baby Eagle Poly Compact 9mm. I had some problems with the saftey, sent it in and it still came back with a slight issue, after they said that they had to smooth out a burr on the trigger. Apparently they didn't get it all.

Well this turned into an issue for me, kinda like when you notice the fat ankle on a girl you a dating. Once you notice them they just keep on being problem when you look at her, no matter how pretty her face is. Well this is kinda how my relationship turned with my BEII.

So I tried out the CZ 75 P-01 and I have found my true love. Maybe just a temporary rebound but definetly one that I will not scratch out of my little black book. I am truly in love. So much so that I am thinking of kicking the Steel version out to and calling up the P-01 cousin and getting her added to my little list of mistresses. Maybe I will just have a threesome. My CZ 75 P-01, CZ 75 SP-01 tactical and me....oh lala I will be in heaven.......

This cz is sweet. It is much nicer shooting than the Baby Eagle Poly 9mm and just as light. It is very much like the steel but I would give the CZ +2 for the feel of trigger and lightness. I will have to go with CZ from here forward. This is very painfull as I have always wanted to stay within the TRIBE.

Just picked up a SP-01 myself today, but haven't got to shoot it yet. It was new "old" stock (2008).

I have a question - the gun's finish on frame and slide is flawless on the outside, but the barrel looks like crap - like it has seen thousands of rounds, and there are brown spots on it. I will post pics of it later but was wondering if your barrel looks like it is from WWII as well.

A little research turned up that this is somewhat normal for CZ barrels (some looking better or worse) and part of the carburizing process or something along those lines, but it is ugly as sin. I don't care about the cosmetics as long as its not damage/metal weakness, etc.

I do like the feel and balance of the pistol - it actually feels a little heftier than the Jericho, but looks smaller dimension wise.

The barrel is not polished. I've seen several CZ owners just polish them up.

It is a bit heavy, something like 2.2 lb. The weight does help with the recoil.

There is also a Cajun Gun Works kit that will reduce the trigger reset, lightens trigger pull and improves the hammer action.
